Let’s get real- no working mom has the energy for midnight margaritas. That is way past the bedtime for most of us! So, 10 p.m. margaritas are much more appealing! And I have the perfect recipe for any occasion!

This is my “famous” frozen margarita recipe. Linda is currently recovering from this recipe; she drank an entire pitcher last night by herself. They’re THAT good. I have used this for a couple of years now, and all of my family and friends LOVE them! They’re SO much better than that artificial mix that you buy in the store!
Frozen Margaritas
- 1 cup Jose Quervo Silver Tequila (or whatever you have on hand)
- 1/3 cup Triple Sec
- 1/3 cup of simple syrup (recipe below)
- 1-2 limes, squeezed
- Pinch of salt
- 2-4 cups of frozen fruit (I prefer strawberries)
Place all of the ingredients in a blender, blend until smooth, serve. TIP: If the mixture isn’t thick enough, throw in 1-3 cubes of ice and blend together.
Simple Syrup:
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
Place these ingredients in a pot on the stove and boil, stirring frequently, until sugar is completely dissolved. Let cool. TIP: This is not only wonderful for margaritas, but anything else you need to sweeten! It is wonderful in iced tea, and it doesn’t make the tea cloudy. You can also add things like mint or citrus peels to add beautiful flavor to your favorite recipes!
