Before embarking on this journey with me, I think you should know that I am not your typical 23 year-old sitting behind a computer screen. I am a lot of things – a wife-to-be, a step-mom-to-be, a fur (and scaled)-baby mom, a trauma survivor, a bitch at times, an awesome cook- but nothing about me is typical.
I want to share my life with you in hopes that maybe I can offer some words of wisdom, some examples of what NOT to do in life, or hell, maybe I will just offer you a good laugh from time to time.
A closer look into my life will reveal my heartaches, my mishaps, my joys, and my overwhelming need to swear profusely. I live my life to please myself… And I know what you’re thinking… “Whoa lady, I am not trying to listen to some self-absorbed bitch ramble on about her ‘interesting’ life.” Hear me out… I may live my life to please myself, but a lot of things please me. My family, friends, and animals please me. Trying out a new recipe or finding a new dope song pleases me (lately Lizzo and her flute-playing skills has peaked my interest). In other words, I find a lot of joy in the life that I have and I want to share that joy with you.
If you are ready for a shit ton of emotional stories, some recipes that a normal person has actually made, and the opportunity to laugh at someone else’s life, then please grab a seat, a box of tissues, a shot of tequila, and your best friend and let’s dive right in.
“She didn’t belong anywhere and she never really belonged to anyone. And everyone else belonged somewhere and to someone. People thought she was too wonderful. But she only wanted to belong to someone. People always thought she was too wonderful to belong to them or that something too wonderful would hurt too much to lose. And that’s why she liked him – because he just thought she was crazy.”
